He is failing to take a serious look at the problems with the funding of Obamacare (I heard him cite some of them here. What do you think that would look like? On these health care issues, he should be giving us the answer to how much we can afford to have coverage each month. That is something that the Affordable Care Act will pay for, in terms of $10 trillion worth of contributions to the federal government. He should be talking to the voters who are going toward a sustainable funding solution to the crisis. That is something he needs to do, not to pretend he doesn’t understand. However, my colleagues will be standing with them on this “if” as well.

As I said, on this side, we will help make sure that funding rules are put in place so that when funding for health care begins or is going to begin, we maintain and expand coverage, regardless of what, how much, how hard, or who supports it or what factors make coverage unaffordable. We are going to do it. In addition to the many things we will do to help, we’re taking another look at ways to help keep low-income Americans healthy and motivated — like spending on benefits, or education reform.
